A few questions

So I'll admit I multitask when I watch moviea because I get easily bored lol. i have a couple of questions and apparently all the threads have been deleted so at least this may serve some purpose in the future.

1. Why did that big muscular guy go beserk and start killing people just to see their numbers? Wtf. Was he just a psychopath. They could easily have worked together.

2. So the girl just volunteered to go through another one of these games knowing she would be putting her life at risk.

3. Did the boy appear with an oxygen mask on his face? He was okay I'm guessing?

4. This is more of a medical question but I'm just curious..the girl who put her hands through the slicers, does she have a decent shot at staying alive as long as she doesn't move too much? I think it might be one of those things where if you panic, it cuts deeper. Just a thought.

Overall I found the characters really dumb. These group setting movies have a lot of potential, but for them to refuse to talk to each other and try to solve the thing together was just dumb. Every time someone had a good idea it got totally shot down by the fools of the group ? Anyway I'm excited for the other movies..I'm super late on the Saw train even though I'm a horror fan..I'm put off by gore haha.
What did you all think of the ending? I kind of liked it other then when she said "game over"..it just sounded dumb to me coming from her. Idk.

Do you remember when They all first woke up together in the room?

do you remember that big giant safe that was in the middle of the room?

Jigsaw tells them The Antidote to the Poison is in that safe, then tells them how to figure out the combination to safe...

The Big Guy, finally figures out that The Numbers/The Combination, is written on The back of each persons neck...So He's starts trying to get the numbers, Amanda and Daniel wont Give them their numbers, so he tries to kill them to get it...

If he can get all The numbers he can get In The safe to get the antidote to the Poison thats killing them...

I take it you didn't watch The First Saw Movie...

The Girl is Amanda, who was A Jigsaw Survivor in The First Saw movie, Amanda was A Heroin Addict and Jigsaw put her threw one of his "Games/Tests"...and instead Of Dying, She made it through The "Game/Test"...But the "Game/Test" was dramatic, It immediately changed her life, She Found A Will to live, No longer wanted to do drug, She actually says in The First movie, "Jigsaw Helped Me"...

So when we see Amanda again In Saw II, We the audience assume, she's gone back to drugs or has done something else that would make her worthy of one of Jigsaw games again...

but in reality, Amanda(The Girl) is now Jigsaw Partner, Her experience in Saw 1 was Life changing, she now looks as Jigsaw as A Father or Savior, She feels His "Games/Tests" actually work, actually can change peoples lives for the better like her, She was A Heroin Addict and Instantly stopped after going Through Jigsaw's "Game/Test"....Jigsaw also Is looking for A Successor, He's Dying of Cancer, So he's teaching Amanda in ways, shes going to be his Legacy, after he Dies she's going to continue his work...

So "The Girl" was Amanda, she was part of the game, she was Jigsaw Partner, Amanda's role in the game was to keep Daniel safe, Amanda was never actually in any danger, she was the only one that wasn't Poisioned...

3. Did the boy appear with an oxygen mask on his face? He was okay I'm guessing?

The Boy was Daniel, Detective Mathews Son...

This is part of the Twist...at the very beginning of the movie Jigsaw tells Mathews, that "He has his son, He's in A "Safe Place" and if he plays his game he'll see his son again"...

All Jigsaw wants to do is sit and talk to Mathews, and Jigsaw tells him "if you can do that long enough, I promise you'll see your son again"

but the problem is, Mathews believes the "Game" Is going on in real time, He's watching his son on The video screens, watching people die left and right, and thinks his son could be next...

So Mathews, Instead decides to "Beat It out of Jigsaw"...and of course Jigsaw was counting on this...

Daniel was Literally 3 feet away from Detective Mathews the entire movie, The Game had already taken place, everything Mathews was watching was a tape, Amanda and Daniel had already completely the Game, Daniel had already been put in The safe with The Oxygen mask on so he wouldn't sufficate...

All Mathews had to do was "Sit And talk with Jigsaw" and control his temper, if Mathews would have done exactly what Jigsaw said, and simply "Talked with him long enough" Mathews would have been sitting their Talking with Jigsaw when the clock hit Zero and The safe would have opened and he would have gotten Daniel back safe Just like Jigsaw said...

The whole movie was "Mathews Game"...Mathews was a dirty, crooked cop, who had lied, planted evidence and used brutality against suspects...

every single person in The "Game"...was someone that Mathews had Framed in The past....

So Mathews was terrified to see his Son In The Game With 7 people that He had framed and set up and put in jail...Mathews knew in was only a matter of time before one of them found out who Daniel was and Killed him...

This is why Mathews resorted to His Usual behavior and tried to "Beat it out" Of Jigsaw...

He didn't realize the "Game" wasn't happening in real time, He saw a clock ticking down, saw A house filled with people he had framed and saw his son in The middle of it, who was also poisoned and desperately needed an antidote ...

and then You have Jigsaw telling him, "I want to play a game, I have your Son, He's in a Safe and secure place, I want to sit her and talk, If you can do that long enough, You will see your son again"

Mathews couldn't do it, He resorted to his Bad/Corrupt behavior...had he just done exactly what Jigsaw said, Had he sat there and talked with him long enough, The timer would have hit Zero, The safe would have popped opened, He would have seen Daniel was in The safe the entire time and The game wasn't take place in real time, He would have then arrested Jigsaw and Taken Daniel home, everything would have been okay, Mathews would have passed Jigsaws test...

Jigsaw wanted to test Mathews to see if he could keep his cool, see if he could follow instructions/Rules, see if he could not revert back to his corrupt behavior...

If Mathews Just followed Jigsaw exact instructions, Just stayed cool, He would have sat there and talked for 90 minutes, the safe would have opened and he would have gotten Daniel back.

4. This is more of a medical question but I'm just curious..the girl who put her hands through the slicers, does she have a decent shot at staying alive as long as she doesn't move too much? I think it might be one of those things where if you panic, it cuts deeper. Just a thought.

Ya she probably could have stayed alive had she not moved...

but unfortunately that wasn't an option because she had been poisoned and needed an Antidote or she would die...

at that point she was already couching up blood and weak...she only had minutes to live...

she didn't have the option to realize the situation and Think to herself, "Okay If I dont move I'll be okay, I'll just wait here tell someone finds me"...she couldn't do that because she only had minutes to live from the poison, she had to try and get out of the trap because she had to try and find an antidote

had she not moved and tried to wait for help...she would have died in about 10 minutes from The Poison

Plus you make a great point about Panicking, I'm sure that didn't help either

your questions were slightly unanswered, so...

1.

There's only 1 antidote inside the safe. If they worked together then who would get the antidote? Which is why he decided to start killing people.

The combo was the colors of a rainbow ROYBIV

4.

The trick of the trap actually isn't that bad. If she had not stuck her 2nd hand inside stupidly for no reason[the antidote was already spilled], she could've easily freed her other hand by lifting each of the blades up then pulling her hand back. [think of the chinese finger trap]

as a sidenote - other than not spilling the antidote[don't know how it wouldn't have | probably would've had to listen to the tape], I would've used cloth rags to protect your hand from getting cut.

*edit*
It was revealed by directors that there was a lock with the key inside on the back, still no idea how they wouldn't have spilled the dose.

---------

I mean if they were smart from the beginning then wouldn't they all know any antidote is protected by a trap/trial? Like Obi...1st is free, 2nd comes at a price - still climbs in and doesn't take a second to look around + nobody held the door open.

Panic, Fatigue from being poisoned[nerve gas], their backgrounds of prison[fend for yourself mentality], and stupidity probably doomed them from the beginning.
