Disconnect between the Trailer and the featured comment.

The featured comment for this movie would lead me to believe that this movie doesn't take sides and is just a fact based doc. about what was going on in Ohio leading up to and during the election.

However the trailer makes it look like it's just any other Bush-bashing fest. From the first line of the users comments, though, it becomes very clear which side of the isle they are coming from. So I'm thinking that a movie that is even 25% fair to the Republican side might seem to that person to be pretty fair to both sides compared with the rest of the stuff they are watching (that includes CNN and everything that comes out of the CBS "news" division).

Anyone that has seen the film care to enlighten me? - On the film, please, not on politics.

I think there may be a disconnect between the trailer and film. The biggest thing that annoys me about the the trailer is how it says that only two democrats have won the presidency in the last 42 years and why? Along with that statement being a little bit of "fuzzy math"(haha, campaign buzzword used ad nauseum), they didn't spend a second discussing the history of presidential campaigns in Ohio.

As for the film, its fascinating with interviews of some of the top campaign strategists for both sides dissecting every element of the 2004 election). I was so interested in these people because I'm so used to hearing non stop political spin from these partisans, that it was almost shocking to hear these people explain their thought process of the strategists with such candor and honesty.

Less interesting, but still worthwhile, was they interwove the strategy discussion with how field workers from both sides who were in Ohio following through on those strategies (or in the democrats case, lack thereof).

Anyway, I was fascinated by the film. I felt it wasn't even a political documentary, rather an analysis of the electoral process and exactly how you win an elections. At no point in the film were they trying to convince me that gays are evil or the war in Iraq is a travesty. However there were people telling us that because of these issues, they are voting for Bush/Kerry.

Hope that can help you out a bit.
