Help save a marriage!

My wife caught this Martin Shaw as Adam Dalgleish adaptation on cable in the UK tonight.

She is adamant that it hasn't been on British TV. Although I admit I don't remember it, I argued that there was no way we wouldn't have watched it at the time, as it's our kind of thing.

Can anyone tell me if these episodes were made for overseas only, or did it actually air on UK TV?

reply

Happy to help!
Adam Dalgliesh was initially portrayed by Roy Marsden, Martin Shaw took over the role for reasons not entirely clear. The BBC produced the series, and ALL Dalgliesh stories were screened on terrestrial t.v. (BBC 1)
The series was broadcast in the UK some time before it was shown elsewhere, but it was sold to many other countries who would have bought Morse, Lewis, etc...although it didn't prove nearly as popular as those two shows.
This particular episode was screened by the BBC in 2004.
I hope your marriage survives!! :-)

Don't let your missus forget the second half of that episode, same time next Wednesday.
(assuming she watched it on the Drama channel of course)

reply

Yeah, it was on Drama. If she's nice to me I'll remind her, but she can't stay awake much past 10pm anyway.

Good luck tomorrow morning mate, hope you haven't got work to get up for!

reply

Nope! (hence the scotch!) Nice talking to you, off to bed at last. I post on imdb a lot, i'll keep an eye out for you. The Midsomer Murders page is probably your best bet to find me other than here. Goodnight fellah!
