the ending question (SPOILER)

i didn't understand how Rugged ran out of the gas station and got past all the policemen? (to end up dead in the woods)

did i miss something or am i just supposed to overlook this because it's the end of the movie?

the movie was alright tho.

"I bet he did!, I bet he Agnes-of-Godded all over her!"

He must of ran on nicotine.. meaning he was shot at the gas station.. but for some reason he didnt bleed out for 10 miles of riding on his moped.. real interesting huh??

reply

Did you not see the ending? We wound up dead in the woods. He probably took a bullet or two, and since only in movies does a gunshot would anywhere on you instantly kill (it takes a head shot in real life, as even a bullet to the heart or lungs isn't an instant death), and the dumbass probably bleed to death as he rode his moped. It's not unheard of to get shot or stabbed and not even realize it right away. There was news coverage of one of our soldiers in Iraq who got stabbed in the head and didn't realize he had a knife hanging out of head until another soldier pointed it out.

I forgot about the police part of your question. The cops shown throughout the movie were repeatedly made to look foolish, and they didn't know about the moped in the woods behind the gas station. They probably gave chase and couldn't find him once he made it to the woods because he hopped on the moped and got ten miles or so before collapsing and dying.

I think it's just as likely that he somehow crashed the moped in the woods and somehow died that way. I know those things don't go very fast, but he could have hit a tree or maybe the front tire ran into some kind of hole and it flipped. He didn't have a helmet on, so who knows?

If he was shot, and was losing enough blood so that he died after he got 10 miles from the gas station, then there would have been a blood trail that the cops could have followed.

yeah, i did mean how did the *police still not capture him* after he ran out.

that does make sense on making the police clueless throughout the movie

Bruce Willis' character is really dead

They explained it - one of the officers cut his hand, the others were all so confused by the gunfight that by the time they stopped shooting he was gone. He was probably shot through one of the cigarette cartons with no exit wounds - hence no blood - and didn't know he'd been shot until he was dizzy from blood loss and bled out internally. No blood trail to follow, no way to track him down.
