The Royal Tenenbaums was good but I thought overrated and not as funny as people had told me. I liked Darjeeling Limited quite a bit. Rushmore, Life Aquatic and Moonrise Kingdom I couldn't really get into. This movie I just saw with my daughter and loved it.
shareI should add that with darjeeling I had fairly low expectations while with tenenbaums they were the opposite so that played a role. I still think tenenbaums is much better just overrated and darjeeling seems to get put at the bottom of most peoples list when I actually enjoyed it. I should give life aquatic another viewing probably and I thought bill murray was great in rushmore I just didn't like the other characters.
shareRushmore is a classic to me, I didn't think Wes Anderson would ever match it. This movie, however, is just amazing. It's my favorite of Anderson's, it's my favorite Clooney role, and I was upset that it lost to "Up" for best animated film, but not surprised.
