I would say it looked a bit 80s from the TVs & radios they showed?

Actually you do see some computers in this so will change this to the present day say 2005 but it looks a bit 80s.

There is no hard date, but very late 70's or very early 1980's in my mind.

The iMac (and cell phones!) are anomalies, but most of the tech is of the late 70's/early 80's.

Yes, cell phones (not the walkie-talkies used by the farmers) are shown with the animals in a few scenes.

You are welcome! If you watch the extras/read the interviews, it is amazing how much creative control was left to the puppet modelers - they are the ones that decided on so much of a scene.
