Open All Hours Characters

I've noticed a couple of the characters look VERY similar to David Jason and Ronnie Barker's characters in the old British sitcom Open All Hours, but it doesn't seem to be acknowledged anywhere. Am I imagining things or has anyone else noticed or discussed this?
