The reason ashe was grumpy?

As I was watching this movie, And waiting for Ashes's story to come full circle somehow and it never did. Until, the raided the grocery store and the grape juice Ashe was drinking stained his lips like lipstick? Was this a hint to Ashe being maybe gay? Maybe he was'nt jealous of the girl fox liking Kristopherson, but of Kristopherson liking a girl? Maybe he could'nt be who he wanted and this lead to his grumpiness. Could also be why he was a fan of the White Cape. A superhero generally has two identities...maybe i'm looking to far into it.

I think he was grumpy simply because people didn't see him the way he wanted to be (as an athlete, a hero, a true heir to his father). I noticed the resemblence of the grape juice to lipstick too but I didn't see it as a hint of him possibly being gay - though it's an interesting theory. I thought it was merely meant to show the abundance the foxes revel in at the end: there's so much grape juice it's not a problem if Ash spills a bit.

He was angry because he was either a young teen or just outright teen; they tend to be angsty. Also, no one saw him for who he was and accepted it completely. He says he's an athlete but not really that great. He's different but not gay. btw He is the the only one drinking grape juice in the end;everyone else is drink apple juice. Again he's just different.

Jealous of Kristopherson liking a girl? Kristopherson was his cousin! Gay or not that would be messed up!

Why are you reading so much into this, the movie made it clear why he was grumpy, he hated the fact he was small in height, his dad was a great sportsman and he wasn't, his cousin got the attention of the girl he liked, that's it.

Interesting theory, I recall the scene where Mr. Fox is telling Ashe the day he learned he was going to have him. He mentioned something about him being male and Ashe abruptly gave the option of possibly being female because Mr. Fox didn't know the sex at the time, maybe Ashe said that because he secretly wished he was a female. Then during the science lab scene the bully mentioned how Ashe dresses like a girl, it could be possible that was just a narrow minded remark from a jock though.

Also the way they described Ashe as *waves arms* different. This of course meaning NOT straight, but curvy like the wave in their arms.

Op is spot on.
So many clues in the film.

You're looking too far into it. It's just a kid trying to impress his dad and failing.

Maybe he could'nt be who he wanted and this lead to his grumpiness.

Yes, an athlete. Like he specifically said.

Can't stop the signal.
