Favorites Lines

Just watched the movie and skimmed through the first few pages on here, didn't see a topic about it..

I laughed the most when Mr. Fox and Possum are riding the motorcycle, and Ash randomly appears on it. Mr. Fox says something along the lines of.. "How did you get here? When did you get here? I think I'm losing my mind". George Clooney's delivery on that was great. Also almost anything with the Possum was great too.

So what are your favorite lines/parts?

Ha! Maybe you are just being facetious, but...you mean to say you didn't even notice the subject lines of what were the number 2 and 10 threads on this board before you posted basically the same topic?

What is your favorite scene?

I loved the:

"Excuse me everyone, I'm going to meditate for half an hour"

"You have got 29 minutes to come up with a proper apology"

What a witty thing to come up with on the spot.

I'm glad you called out the "I think I'm losing my mind" part and how Clooney said it, that was my favorite line. My other favorite was his whole explanation to Kylie about not being able to categorize him "I don't know your Latin name, I doubt they even had opossums in ancient Rome"! And when he's talking to the wolf in French and turns around to the others and says "I'm asking him if he thinks we're in for a hard winter", it was so random and so Wes Anderson.

reply

The whole wolf scene was homage to Jeremiah Johnson, even the hard winter comment. One of my favorite films.

"You made a BAD song Petey."

Delivered in the same way you would tell a dog off that ate your slippers.

Yay Gambon!

Had me laughing out loud! Classic

BEAN: "Why did they cut the letters out of magazines?"
BUNCE: "I don't know, but you did the same thing."
BEAN: "I don't trust this guy."

MR. FOX: "Listen can you give me a signal so I know that you are understanding what I am saying."
(Kylie motions his right arm into the air.)
MR. FOX: "Was that it?"

Hilarious movie. I love Wes Anderson movies. This movie is just awesome. Can't see why people don't like it. I got more favorite lines these are just the one on the top of my head.

Give him the kick!

"Redemption....sure. But in the end he's just another dead rat in a garbage pail behind a Chinese restaurant."

reply

So my favourite line is the one in my signature. When the boys come in after robbing one of the farms and Mrs. Fox catches them and says, "Why is he wearing that bandit hat?" and Mr. Fox says, "His ears were cold". I laugh every time.

"Why is he wearing that bandit hat?"... "His ears were cold!"

reply

so many great lines delivered well. I liked it when they were floating the dead rat down the sewer and Kyle says 'He went bananas' and Clooney deadpans, 'Yes he did'. Perfect tone and timing, I crack up every time.
