Paul actors and relationship with Barry (spoilers)

I find this movie fascinating, with nice cast. Strange to see David Kennedy from Law & Order: UK playing such a different guy. Bryan Dick is sweet as young Paul.

What do you think about the relationship between Barry and Paul? Pity it was so short, but I imagine the 2 twins couldn't make love being still conjoined...
