This movie was horrible

Late one night I watched this movie out of shear boredom and I watched it in it's entirety. I support the message in the movie, and I think it's a very noble and worthwhile cause. So I can't imagine why for the love of god they put that pansy ass kid to play the lead character. Lets forget that he tears up every other scene, and pouts like a five year old. Also lets forget that he has no spine and seeks acceptance in others for validation, hardly a mark of a leader. This actor was so horrendous that towards the end of the movie, I wanted to shoot a spirit bear my self. I'm sure he had sex with the spirit bar too, every other word out of his mouth was wining and moaning about the spirit bear. This movie made everyone who watched it dumber, and an incredible urge to hunt spirit bears. Only bright spot was the other young actress, she did a decent job. That's my two cents.

I think they did a great job with this film. It shows that anyone can make a difference. You just have to have the desire and put in the effort.

That was quite the enjoyable review. I would only watch this if I had a gun to my head, but Simon Jackson went to my high school a couple years ahead of me, and he would come back periodically to irritate the *beep* out of us with his inspirational story, earning doe-eyed admiration from the teachers we hated.

And to be honest and vain, he will keep coming to that school with his story replacement-1.....because as Andy Warhol quoted once "everyone will have their fifteen minutes of fame" is what Simon lives up to.

He'll be eighty years old and in a wheelchair telling the story of the Spirit Bear, because, well, that's Simon's fifteen minutes of fame and his poignant triumph in life....by the way if you think I'm bashing Simon, I'm not at all. I'm just saying some people take their triumph and they label it with what cause or reason that motivated and moved people.

I loved this movie!!! The horrible stock footage, Graham Green's Canadianisms, all the bad 90 references, movie cliches. This movie had it all!
