Will Hindi movies ever become innovative and get some recognition ??

sarkar, again a copy from God father and Road to perdition...atleast the baseline of the story.

I ever wonder...will Hindi movies become original in their script and start imitating hollywood in a local way and become cheap and non-recognized !!!

Good points washizu. I agree with you.

Sarkar was a very good film. I liked it quite a lot. As far as copying The Godfather and Road to Perdition is concerned, well there are only some key references in the film, which make people think "oh yea.. copy of Godfather .. yea..we've seen the English version..why watch this again". Even I have the same sentiments usually. But as you said ..it's not possible not to be influenced by other great filmmakers. And RGV is not an idiot.. man is one of the best directors in India right now. I enjoyed some of his films; reckon this and Satya were his best ones. In itself this is a very well written script, with awesome direction, and highly charged performances from Abhishek [I think his first role which really proved he's a good actor] and Amitabh [he's no Marlon Brando.. but hey .. Marlon Brando ain't no Amitabh] as well as the supporting cast --and I must give special mention to the bald guy [excuse me for not knowing his name]

Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
