The 2 is good, but i find this slightly better, the action scenes are better IMO, i think Sienna done a good job as Jill on the 2, but nothing impressive and she wasn't exactly identical to the character, Nemesis did not chase her and that's a turn off cause i'm a huge fan of Resident Evil: Nemesis.

No agreed this is better than 2. But only by a bit. I rated both a five though, so that should say where I'm coming from. Passable entertaining movies that are fairly stupid.
The first one I rated a 6 but I think it's much better than these other two. Again not a smart movie by any means, but pretty fun and entertaining flick.
Haven't watched Afterlife or Retribution, but I heard Retribution was the second best in the franchise, so I'm curious to check it out.
I think this movie is the best movie in the entire series, really.
Nemesis was completely cheesy and ridiculous. It was a typical early 2000's follow-up movie so a somewhat successful initial title. Sort of like Fast and Furious 2. It had none of the redeeming qualities of the first, and just sort of added a layer of roll-your-eyes tack to it. Out of all the movies, it's probably the one I have the hardest time watching without turning off. However, it at least explains key elements to the overall franchise story, something #4 and #5 do nothing of. Speaking of which...
Afterlife and Retribution were utterly pointless. Afterlife served no forward advancement of anything, and if it was nixed, would ultimately have no impact whatsoever in the franchise; nor would Retribution really, but at least Retribution had some fun quirks and brought in a lot of the video game references.
I just watched all 6 in a row (after seeing TFC in theater). I always liked Extinction. I thought it had a serious, survival tone that the others lacked. The action sequences were fine, the story was fine, and the emotional tone was solid. Plus, Olivera, Claire, and Alice all had good roles, as did Doc.

I agree. I always liked Extinction sequel more than the others because it had a more serious tone, better cinematography, it was gorier than any other ones. And I liked it for having it a Mad Max vibe, like the Road Warrior movie. So there are lots of things to like in it.
shareIt's better than 2, but Milla isn't as hot. Things are much more on track in the back end.
