He Can't Play His Organ on TV anymore
I was reading The Sun newspaper today and this is what is said :
'Paul O Grady has blasted the BBC after being banned from playing with his ORGAN. The star was left hopping mad by a Beeb liscensing cock-up which means he can't have live entertainment on his Channel 4 show.
And last night Paul, who uses a studio at the Beeb's TV centre in West London for his teatime slot, threatened to defy the ban and risk being nicked for performing to his audience.
Paul, 50 said "We can't have live music which means I can't sing, dance, play the organ or the bugle. It turns out if I have live entertainment I could be arrested. I'll stand up in court and say 'Yes, your honour, I did play a bugle.'" The Sun told last week how a bungle left the beeb without a permit for providing live entertainment to the public - so staff were acting as audiences.
Paul added "It's the public who will suffer. It's unforgivable how they spend money on lawyers but can't even get the proper license. The BBC bossed need to get off their arses and sort it out."
The ban may mean producers of the British Soap Awards, being filmed at the BBC on Saturday, are not allowed to let the audience see clips of shows'.
