What Bible are you reading? I don't recall any passage that states what you claim. You must be referring to artist renderings. Here's a tip- artist's aren't Biblical scholars or theologians. They are creative people expressing their views.

Not if we're talking about the God of the Bible, in regard to pacifism at least. You think Jesus running the money changers from the temple was, "pacifism"? What about telling his disciples to carry a sword with them?

Didn't you just say the Biblical God was supposed to be a pacifist?

Yet Jesus taught from the OT and the apostles studied it for days after the resurrection. It was relevant to them, why not us?
