Movie connection?

Is this thing related in any way to War of the Planets? Its another straight to DVD crap-fest, but the alien from this movie's cover is on that case as well. IMDB doesn't indicate that they are related at all, but I found it odd they would use the same creature art.

Nah, no relation whatsoever. That alien is just a stock image Lions Gate used on many sci-fi releases during that era. 'War of the Planets' is a decent movie, though.
