This is what I love about this series. They simply do not spoon feed the answers to the audience. This gives you the opportunity to participate in the story by adding your own, personal, touches to it.
My impression was that Jesse was serious about "Candace" taking care of "Reggie," but ended up using it as part of his ruse to trap "Andy" and "Brianna."
