Wow look CZ lives.

Your probably wondering where the unofficial Full Moon historian has been. I'm an assistant IT director at a place up the road from where I live, plus attending classes (I graduate in December with my Associate's in computer networking technology). Anyway, a friend of mine was trying to rip movies to Divx, and I went down to his place and pretty much showed him that on a Mac, it is a matter of pushing one button, but on Windows, it takes a little bit of extra work (I myself am officially 100% Mac, since my one Windows machine - that I was using as a file server - burnt up on me, and I really have no intentions on repairing it or purchasing a new barebone kit). This got me thinking, I could rip a whole crapload of movies to MP4, and store them on DVDs, sorta like backups. I was thinking, "That would be cool to be able to fit a whole series on one DVD" (note its not playable in a DVD player, only a Mac or PC, or something like the X-Box Media Center). So, I looked at the DVD rack, and thought, why not PUPPET MASTER?

That got me thinking if any of the IMDb pages were updated since I was last browsing through the archives, and some of them were.

Anyway, the import discs are only the feature from what I have been told. They might have the VideoZone, but I haven't purchased one since I believe I have every Full Moon feature from the Paramount era now except for a few of them (like maybe five or six).

Apparently the IMPPORTS contain the same material as the original VHS.

Welcome back, by-the-way.

I know the original box set's source materials were taken the original Pioneer-released laserdiscs, as was most any Full Moon DVD of a movie that was produced before 1997.

reply

I thought that's how they were done. I even own NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and the SLEEPAWAY CAMP trilogy that were taken from the VHS. The picturing is pretty dark and all.

So Laserdiscs are good picturing?
