Corey Feldman could feed an army with the ham he brings to this film.

He must have known what kind of film he was making and said "Screw it, I'm just going to ham it up as much as possible."

You need some serious ham to distract from how god awful the puppets look in this one. I watched the other Puppet Master films in order leading up to this being the last. The puppet quality seemed to decline a bit in the latter ones like no opening mouth or protruding spikey eyes on Blade etc. This one though I think they were using replicas bought on ebay or something. They were truly terrible

Been a while since I watched Demonic Toys but I bet it's not rose tinted spec's that make me think they looked better in that original film too.

The puppets did look cheaper in this one. I noticed it the second Jester came on screen, he just looked more off than the rest. And then the *upgrades* were just cheap and silly looking. Blade and Jester's upgrades didn't look too bad, but man, he MANGLED Pinhead and Six Shooter.

Could've been a budget thing, but I recall Jeff Farley defending how the toys and puppets looked. He wanted them to look "real". I see what he's getting at. Baby Oopsy-Daisy in this one looks like the more realistic baby doll compared to the other three versions which I do think look better, but obviously too menacing for a child's toy.

Courtney Joyner was apparently trying for a GREMLINS style horror comedy. Fred Willard (AMERICAN WEDDING) was in mind for the Robert Toulon role. I always felt Corey was horribly miscast.
