For me it was what Holly did to those shoes. Oh my god they were ugly. I imagined Gerry saying from the beyond "no honey I meant do something good"

But in all seriousness the parts that really got me where when she said she could feel him hugging her, that kills me.

Also Patricia. Firstly being abandoned by choice is so much easier line broke my heart and then she did it again at the end in the park when she's talking about Hollys father.

When she kept calling his cellphone to hear his voice. Knowing he will never pick up on the other end made me feel sad, goes to show the little things we take for granted.

I did that a lot after my fiancée died. Watching someone else do it was heartbreaking.

I didn't cry, but I think the most emotional part was the last letter where he told her that she was his entire life, but he was only a chapter in hers.

I cried the most in the scene where Hilary runs to her mother and tells her she's all alone. :( That hit right in the heart. Oh and also when there's the flash back of when Holly and Gerry met in Ireland, afterwards what he tells her in the letter is to not forget about herself and how she used to think, that she can do whatever she wanted. It was just so touching on how much Gerry cared about Holly and wanted her to keep feeling alive.

When she made him a cup of tea and put it on his ashes box. That made me start properly and I couldn't stop...and I rarely cry at films but I think it's because it's those simple things that remind me of me and my fiance. We just chill together with our cups of tea and watch a movie, and that for us is a really good evening.

I cried all through that movie but mostly at the end when Holly breaks down with her mother.

2 scenes that stuck out to me were:

1) The one where she went back in time and she was saying about being able to do anythign with your life but then went on to her standard job which they argued over constantly. That first bit of a relationship where it is full of optimism and promises is the best. But Holly never did anything with her degree when she had so much potential.

2) The scene at the end with the mother where she was discussing her husband leaving and Jerry dying. Her mother mentioned Holly being like Miss Havisham and she mentioned about watching a child living the same life you (A parent) had being the 2nd worst thing after losing a child. It made me burst into tears because I remember my mum giving me a similar speech when I was in my early 20's how it was killing her watching me follow in her footsteps.

That was it for me too. Sometimes you just can't take it anymore and I felt that awful thing that Holly was feeling.
