Any word of a release date on DVD

I saw this film two years ago in Salt Lake City and I'd love to own a copy. Does anyone know when it will be released on DVD? Thanks for the info in advance.

It won't be for a while, not until the Church has a new movie to replace it with. That said, an excellent alternative option is a film called Emma Smith: My Story, with the same actors, writers, and director. It plays like an Emma's eye view version of this film, and I thought it was very very good.

This beautiful, inspiring film is now available on DVD. It's part of a set called DOCTRINE & COVENANTS And CHURCH HISTORY. The set includes four DVD that can be used in studying the D&C. Disc 3 contains five beautifully produced LDS Church films that include: JOSEPH SMITH: THE PROPHET OF THE RESTORATION; LEGACY, MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD; and two more excellent films. The set can be purchased online or at any LDS Church Distribution outlet ($4.50 for all four discs!)or from any Deseret Book Company store ($6.50). The companion piece to the JOSEPH SMITH disc would be EMMA SMITH: MY STORY, which uses the same cast to beautifully tell the view point of Emma Hale Smith, Joeseph's wife who was a remarkable lady.

The title given above is not quite correct. There is a D&C and Church History DVD, but it is not the correct dvd. The correct title is "Doctrine and Covenants and Church History VISUAL RESOURCES DVD." There is a set with the above title, but it isn't the one which contains this wonderful movie. The item number for the correct set is 08042000, and it does cost all of $4.50.
