My wife and I were in Salt Lake City this past July and I think this was the movie that we saw at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Does this film start with a young girl trying to get to Navoo with her father (maybe a little mixed up on the details).

Anyway as non-members of the Latter-Day Saints faith, we still felt this movie was great. I love the history of the Church and this film made me fell like I was back in time watching events unfold.

Can someone tell me if this was the movie I'm thinking of?

Yes, you have the right movie. The girl and her father are coming from Ireland because of the missionaries that were sent there. Wasnt it great? I bawl each time I watch it, and it does feel like your right there in time. If you have any more questions, dont be shy!

Actually our characters are coming from England not Ireland. I played the father on the boat. We actually went to England to film some of the scenes. We are so pleased that so many people enjoyed this film. It was hard work but well worth the time. Joseph Batzel Edward Rowberry
