Why didn't anyone of the other jews want to help?

Is it because they care more for themselves than others? Isn't that against religion?

Love is gender-less, sex is for procreation. Miauw run off and have a lovely time.

It’s easier to see how the can be more devout by looking at them as generic people instead of religious people?

Based on what Tzadok said, it was Shabbat (Jewish day of rest). It's considered a holy day, and there are strict rules as to what a Jewish person can do on that day.

Tzadok: "Pikuach nefesh. A permitted violation of a Shabbat law. A human life is in danger. I am not only allowed, but required to act."

Maybe Tzadok felt more responsibility to help because he was the one Clyde first came to for help.

I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker.

Okay so, this thread is 3 years old but I'll answer anyways. Haha. I honestly think none of the other Jewish people wanted involved because the box contains a demon and in cases of demons anyone who tries to help rid the demon can also be haunted/possessed by it. I have heard this several times about possessions and Catholic priests. The church and priests don't like getting involved with possessions because for one, they have to be specially trained in the area of knowing about demons and how to handle them and for two because the demon can come after them and plague them. Which is why you have to have extensive proof of the possession or of your house needing an exorcism before they will come out to help. You also need a priest willing and capable of handling the situation to come out and help. I think it's similar, honestly. This movie is based on an actual true story of a Dybbuk box. I have heard the story told by several men on a true paranormal show who have been in possession of the box. You can find their stories easily online if you are interested in hearing what they experienced while owning the box. The last guy to have it keeps it hidden in a spot on his property buried in the ground so no one else can get ahold of it. Pretty freaky, really.
