Controversial !

The rumors are true... I saw an early version of this film and it is VERY disturbing and certainly controversial about the Iraq war! It is, however, very poetic and has beautiful, haunting images. The rape scene is very brutal and I am not surprised the actress got hurt! This movie is something else, if you get a chance to see it don't miss it!

Where did you see it? Is there any trailer on the Net?

reply

They don't have a trailer on their official site yet... www.darkheartthemovie.com

I've sent them an enquiry through their website and they replied that they are currently working on a trailer which they'll post soon. So I will keep checking their site....

The trailer is there now. It looks interesting.

"I believe in coincidences, I just don't trust them." Source debatable.

I was hanging out with some friends a couple of months ago and they stopped at a house in the valley, I think it was a friend of a friend's home or something like that. Anyway, the guy who lived there I think worked on this film and he was looking at an advanced rough cut... I had no idea what it was but I was floored by what I saw. This film is intense! I really want to see the finished movie when it comes out, however I've read somewhere that some veteran group is already trying to boycott it.

I know Greg Joelson.....the next time he's in town, I'll ask him and post because i would like to see the film myself. It was shown at the Bend film fest in Oregon last summer.

Come on Shutterboss. It's no secret you were the cinematographer on this film; have some self respect and just come out and say it rather than coming up with some cracked story about "being in the valley to visit a friend of a friend and you guys were invited to watch some really cool daylies and gosh, this looks great". I don't think users of this board have any problems with filmmakers answering questions in these forums and using threads they're commenting in to put in a good word for their work, but don't pull this crap.

It sounds like there are good stories to be told about the making of this film, and in my opinion anyway, you could do your film a better service by sharing those, rather than posturing to drum up interest...there's already interest in this title -- act on that honestly and I think you'll have a captive audience.
