Well, everyone has different opinions about it....and just different in general. But I am 16 and I LOVED it! I don't watch many disney movies. SIMON BAKER RULES!!!!

Why me? Why here? Why now?

I stick to promises like gum to school property!

totally! lols this movie was great compared to other disneychaneel movies. I thought this movie would be really cheesy because what kind of movie is called buffalo dreams? It sounded corny. After i found out simon baker was going to be in it, i just watched it anyways, after i watched it i understood why they gave it the title. All in all this movie was great compared to other D.C.O.M.s', and the actors were Better lols. simon baker rockss!

reply

Ehh.. it's fairly decent, but I lost my taste in Disney Channel movies.

In my opinion, I thought the plotline was okay, but the script needed some work. I hated when they sang the song to the buffalo. If its charging you, you dont sing to it. You run. You hide. You do not serenade it as it plows you down.

This movie was OK.

I am Osage Indian and some of this movie makes sense. Like Indians and different cultures trying to get along (Hence the bikers and the Navajo in the movie). Someone has to make the first step in this process. But it features two boys going on vision quests to seek the help they need. I have never been on one of these but my uncle said it helps people to focus on their paths in life. So I think this movie is a great way to introduce people to Native American life that they might not have been involved in before. I always grew up wondering what life would be like off a reservation. I participated in Special Olympics since the sixth grade but I had never been far from the reservation I grew up on because of how my parents put it 'protection'. My mom was in the Air Force, Dad was in the army so I spent most of my life with my grandparents alway wondering what life would be like if I just grew up away from reservation life and that is how Thomas Blackhorse felt in the movie. He wanted to go to school and get a real job instead of staying where he was his entire life. I didn't really understand I was not the only one who felt this way till I watched this movie. That was when I went for my law degree and eventually got it. I am now living in an apartment complex and getting ready to open my law firm. But I have never forgotten how to live off the earth and to help the Osage Indians when they need it. I suggest to different people that they watch this movie because it is hitting awfully close to home about different Native American lifestyles.

its not much better off the rez. when i moved off the rez *ish apache & cree* we moved mostly in hopes of getting some $ and our rez wasnt the greatest place but we are still broke lolz. thats really cool your opening your law firm i hope everything works out. im just starting to learn about my culture i grew up with my dad he was my only family and he was really ashamed of his apache descent and if id try to talk to him about it id get in big trouble so i just never really payed attention to it til my grandma started getting in contact with me and now i have a whole new respect for it and trying to learn everything i can

U know wat I don't get? They play the stupid movies on Disney like twice a month but the good stuff they play like 3 times a year. This movie is never on along with many others ones they don't play becuz they're "old". So is "My date w/ the prez's daughter" & they play it but bot Susie Q or that kind of stuff. That irritates me.
