See it THIS WEEK in LA
Just opened at the Sunset 5 at Sunset & Laurel Canyon, in LA on Friday 10/12/07. I think its only there for the week but I saw it Friday night and implore others to take advantage of the chance to see it on the big screen. For a low/no budget indy film this thing totally rocks. Quite literally actually, the music is fantastic and had they been selling a soundtrack I would have bought one right on the spot!!!
Its a coming of age story amidst dramatic anti war fervor set in UC Berkeley in 1969. Students protesting the war in Vietnam, the strengthening hold of the systems of power over the peoples democracy and the passionate power of a generation of Hopefuls that they could guide the future toward LOVE instead of HATE. All that and plenty of sex drugs and rock and roll. Aw, the sixties.
Amazingly reflective of our present state of affairs and disarmingly sad that today we don't speak our voices, use our true power of democracy and stand up for what we believe in the way they did back then and they way they do in this film.
Definately worth watching and it would be a shame if you miss the opportunity.
Truly independent. Truly Well done and great performances all round. Don't miss out.
