Olbermann: Even more stupid than he seems ...

Okay -- Reconciliation.

Let's think about that one. On tonight's episode, good old Olbermann tries to make a Congressman out as the "worst person in the world" because he complained about the use of a Congressional process known as "reconciliation" which moves legislation forward faster than the normal process.

Congressman Ryan said he opposed its use during the health care debate. Yet, he now believes that it is a proper procedure to reduce spending and for entitlement reform.

This shows Olbermann's ignorance about even the basics of the Congressional process. The reconciliation process is, to be simple, to bring spending and revenue in line with the budget that Congress has adopted.

Ryan was criticizing the use of the reconciliation process as simply a way to circumvent the rules of Congress, and having nothing to do with the budget plans of Congress. But still, this reconciliation process remains as a tool to be used to reduce the deficit and reform the budget.

Easily enough said: Abuse? Bad. Use? Good. Olbermann? Moron.
