Can't he just take Countdown to another station?

I love Keith Olbermann. He's hilarious, intelligent, well spoken, witty, entertaining, and his heart is in the right place and he is on the right side of history on ALL major issues. You gotta love this guy. His show was fun, informative, and at times powerful. Can't he just take the show to CNN, TBS or TNT, or OWN (Oprah's) Network). Or does MSNBC own the rights to Countdown?

And how do we know that Keith will be off the air for 2 years? Who said that?

MSNBC most likely owns the rights to his show's title. I can't help you in proving he will be off the air for two years, though I did read somewhere that part of his settlement with the network is his agreement to remain off the air for a period of time. Six months is what I think I read.

But he has a reputation of being difficult to work with and has been fired from all his broadcasting jobs, so that will certainly be taken into consideration by anyone who thinks of hiring him. Why hire someone who will most likely cause a lot of turmoil in the work place and refuse to be a team player? He may be back, but he's a multimillionaire who doesn't need to do anything for the rest of his life but live in luxury, if that's what he wants. But I can't believe we won't hear from him again!

Thanks Holbrookp! Great post.

The announcement that he's moving to Current TV with Al Gore has put to rest a lot of my inquiries anyway. Seems he has made his decision as to wear he is going. Here's to him establishing the type of audience that makes him relevant again on Current TV!

What is Current TV?

LOL...I had to ask the same question, don't feel bad.

It's a channel started by Al Gore. A news channel that tries to have a youthful approach to broadcasting. For instance, it has a Rottentomatoes show on the network about film reviews.

Millennium I think it's hilarious that you think that he is intelligent.

He just tells the ignorant masses what they want to hear, whether it's the truth or not. He is partly responsible for the dumbing down of America.

Idiot, he went to the fake Cornell, not the real one. Plus, just because one has a degrees from somewhere does not mean they aren't a clueless dumb bastard.

Wise up, pinhead.
