Robin Williams uncredited voice?

Was the Chicago Cubs owner voiced by Robin Williams, friend of Christopher Reeve? I can't find a voice credit for that character, and it sure sounded like him.

I believe it was him. Christopher Reeve was good friends with Robin Williams. Still, it's strange to think that Robin Williams played a villain...he seems like such a good guy...

reply

It was him.

I'm sure it was his voice. I saw a clip with Robin recording it.

Robin Williams has played several villains in movies. He was basically a pyscho in 24 hour photo. In death to smootchy he was an antagonist, and i think i remember him being the bad guy in insomnia.

1-hour photo, not 24-hour photo ;)

reply

It felt like 24-hour photo.

Not only is Robin Williams (uncredited) as his voice, the Chicago Cubs owner character is NOT listed at ALL !!!
He's the MAIN character that concocts the WHOLE scheme of stealing the bat (basic premise of the entire movie, no?).

And what about the character of the Yankees G.M. (General Manager)?
He's nowhere to be found in the credits either, is he?

reply

Not to go off topic, but why would you even have to introduce Robin Williams in any way..."friend of christopher reeve". If people don't know who he is, it's only their loss.
