How do you expect to appeal to all viewers when you make the Yankees the good guys and in particular make the entire city of Chicago the bad guys by making the Cubs evil.

So you already push away Boston and Chicago and assure a failure in those regions. All of this on top the factor that almost everyone expect for foreign cabbies and brand new immigrants hate the Yankees and you have a guaranteed failure.
