That's how the original and much superior one is from 1939.

The baby born at the end is the one and only male on screen.

I've seen both, and I like both. I don't understand the hate for the new one.

I found it clever there were no men in the movie :) It's not about the men, it's about the women and their relationships, thoughts, feelings, etc. Very clever :)

I personally think a baby girl was used for the final scene.

No men in the movie at all: laughable...to make it worse Meg Ryan takes back her husband that his been banging Eva Mendes for over 3 months and this is a happy ending? Awful

reply

I didn't think I was going to be able to get through this movie with an entire female cast (except for the baby). But it actually helped the comicalness not having any males in it.

reply

Not only are there no male speaking parts but there are not even any male extras. Literally not one male on screen for the whole movie.
