Does anyone think that Logan's friend Joey posted the list on Logan's locker at the end of the movie? There's no way to be sure, but he was making that list of ways to be cool earlier in the film and the locker incident happened shortly after Joey was at Logan's house and asked him if he was gay. I'm curious because that scene with Joey it wasn't completely clear as to whether he would continue to be Logan's friend.
Does anyone have an opinion?
I think he might at least have had something to do with it. I think since Joey wasn't very popular either, he might even have volunteered to go talk to Logan to get some points with some of the other kids who thought he was gay (if you remember, the girl who called Rodeo near the beginning about Rodeo's friendship with Logan also mentioned people suspecting Logan to be gay, so it was probably a kind of wide-spread rumor), or have been talked into it by some of these kids, since they knew he was friends with Logan. So if he wasn't the direct culprit, he might have been sent for the final test, or something - asking him directly. Although then again, the other kids probably wouldn't care about being thorough in their investigations about this enough to go through that much trouble. Still, it might have been that. Maybe they were trying to get a few more names on the list by convincing more people, or something.
This is all a pretty pessimistic view on how it might have gone, I guess... but it's just some ideas.
That's actually a good question... Thinking about it, I'd have to say it probably was. I got the feeling that Logan and Joey were fooling around, the scene where Logan goes over to Joey's house seems to imply it. If so, then they had probably been at it for a while, and just considered it play, as boys are wont to do.
That explains why Logan hesitates to go over to Joey's place as well: He's realizing that for him, it's more than just harmless fun... He has *feelings* for other boys, which is a totally different thing than just being horny and pragmatic, and that makes it far more complicated for him than it is for Joey.
When Joey realizes that Logan isn't just horny, but *gay*, it's probably rather threatening to his own self-image, considering what they've been doing together, and the list could very well be his way of proving he's not like Logan.
Thats a good point of view about Logan and Joey. As of Joey just wanting to fool around and being childish and Logan wanting much more ( lying face up on Joeys floor and waiting to get "seduced" )
But somehow I think I noticed some obvious homosexual references on Joeys list, which he tells Logan over the phone...
And the list in school with all the "Fags" listed on it, might be one of those bullying lists and Joey just added Logan's name on that school list, after the confrontation.
So with Joey not putting up that list but adding Logans name to it!
