i saw this specific scene on youtube where logan dresses up in the wig and lipstick and goes to the house of rodeos girlfriend (a girl who acts really bad and destroys the scene- maybe it got cut because of that?) and it's actually missing on my dvd. anyone knows anything about that? i think its actually a key scene and i kind of miss it

From what I read, the DVD version was vastly different from when it premiered at Sundance because I guess it was too controversial or something.
I like the original one better than the DVD version. DVD version is pretty watered down.
I saw it when it was at The Seattle International Film Festival in 2006 and it did not have the scene you are talking about. neither does the dvd.

And despite the fact that the girl's acting is horrible, this seems like a really key scene to the film. I really wonder why it was ever cut.
Also its been said the DVD version is "watered down". I don't understand why. DVD is the format where the director can include everything they had to cut to get the MPAA rating of 'R'
That's why there are so may "Directors CUT" versions of films. And the very overused "UNRATED!"
It doesn't make sense that Cam Archer would CUT the film for DVD

Well I havent seen the removed scenes, but I imagine the director wanted to highlight the topic of Homosexuality in general, than the more controversial pedophilia.
Where a young child ( 13y/o ) gets sexually involved with an older person.
Which in my opinion is still quite recognizable, in a "watered down" way.
The fact that Rodeo dreamed of getting "sucked" by his little friend, as mentioned in the phone call to his "girl friend" or his / their shyness or reluctance together when alone as in Rodeo's ( messy ) bedroom.
And than the big scene in the cave, where Logan reveals himself as the phone sex caller and offered himself to get fu$%ed by Rodeo.
You can see that between them is some erotic tension...
I watched the DVD version and must say it was an exciting experience to watch this little treasure, even without the missing scenes.....
Wow you're not kidding - that "actress" is the worst ever.
I'm convinced that this scene was removed because of how bad she is in it.
Seriously, couldn't the director have found someone better? There are teenagers at local high school plays that could do much better than this.
