Drinking problem?

What was up with the younger daughter's "drinking problem?" It said she was in college, and so she was probably barely 21, if that, and already in AA. The whole time they acted like she was some crusty old alcoholic.

Any thoughts?

Not everybody "looks" like an alcoholic. My cousin was an alcoholic from the time he was 13. When he was 21 he was drinking openly and always went out with his drinking buddies. But to look at him you'd never know he was an alcoholic.

He died one week before his 22nd birthday. Hence why I use the term "was" as opposed to "is." The fact is, there is no such thing as a "former" alcoholic. Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. It just depends on whether or not the person chooses to remain sober that day.
