Actually..... that sucked! It´s a GAY (literally) movie!

The DVD sucks: it´s an edited Version of the Movie. Actually this movie is from the gay-channel HERE! and for the DVD-Version every gay-(themed)Scene was cut out. There are a few scenes of gay kisses. You don´t believe me?

Watch the trailer and you´ll see some gay stuff. I think it´s ridicoulus to cut that movie into a heterosexual desaster. Is beeing gay that bad? Even in Germany it just the hetero dvd version... Why? Why? Why?

It wasn't censored or anything like that. The movie was specifically shot so as to allow the editors to cut it into three seperate versions. The idea was that they could target several audiences with a single movie, one version for heterosexuals, one for homosexuals and one for Japanese audiences.

How does the Japanese version looks like?
I think the "bad" thing about the several versions is, that they didn´t bring out the gay version on dvd.

I believe -- and I hope -- that the "gay version" is the one that here! currently is offering to U.S. residents in an online giveaway. Visit www.heretv.com/freedvd for information. Let me emphasize I am not affiliated with here! in any capacity, nor have I seen this DVD in question, but it strikes me as unlikely that here! would peddle a het (or Japanese!) version. Besides, the DVD box cover shown is different from the original version -- it's now the faces of Adrian Paul, Mathew St. Patrick and Mike Doyle.

it's true. i recently bought the Here DVD of Dante's Cove Season 2 and on the inside of the case there was a flyer advertising the free Tides Of War DVD. mine's on it's way!! i didn't know that it was the same movie as USS Poseidon though. whatever!! a free DVd is still a free DVD!!!!

That really sucks! I have the de-gayed version too! Didn't know they did that!
