What he hell was he thinking with this *beep* I can't even believe that he wrote something so horrible. This was totally out of character, the style isn't even his. It felt more like Tales From the Darkside to me...

That does change matters a bit. It's still not a great flick, but commendable for a Made for TV effort. Certainly better than something like Wes Craven's Chiller.
The ending was far too... how do I word this... plebian for an Argento film, my main problem with the film.
I agree with the second poster, totally out of character for Argento. Although, I would have to disagree with this movie being better than The Card Player... at least there was a touch of the giallo to that flick.

shareWell, given the losing streak Argento's been on recently, the fact that it was a TV movie, and the fact that is is YET ANOTHER "homage" to Alfred Hitchcock, I was actually pleasantly suprised by the result. It might really have been his best film since "Opera" (with the possible exception of "Sleepless"). Unfortunately, that isn't much of a compliment, and this film wouldn't rate too well with the films he made before 1990. It's definitely a vast improvement over "The Card Player" though, and it's raised my hopes about "The Third Mother".
I don't think the TV movie thing hurt it at all. The murder was pretty blood and there was generous nudity from the three actresses (which was nice since none them could act worth spit).

This has got to be his worst film. Only good part is the nudity...
sharei was really disappointed with this one (not that i was expecting much from him lately). in previous outings the characters were actually fun, but the lead is obnoxious and came off as a total freak. sorry argento, you failed again. too bad.
and he's remaking suspiria. ugh............
