I just watched the movie again last night (obsession...) and when Riccio gets yelled at by Dottore Massimo, it looks as though Scipio's been hit across his eye, because he has a small scar there and his eyes look red.
Does anyone else notice that? It's makes me feel so bad for Scipio... I wonder if his dad is actually abusive to him...

It's right that Rollo Weeks has a scar next to his eye, I think it is there because he missed a trick while skateboarding (or something like that)
You can see it very well when Scipio is standing on this balcony in his house, listening his father who is talking to some men.

Well, yeah, I saw the scar earlier in the movie, and it's really not to noticable...but in the scene I mentioned it flares up red and Scipio's eyes are watery, so it sort of looks like his father hit him or something.
It was just a comment, really... You can pretty much figure ut that Scipio's probably crying because of Prop or something...

OMG!! Did you see the way the Dottore was shaking Scip around while he was yelling at Riccio? it made me so mad!!! Poor Baby. All that disipline crap Dottore spits out, i'm positive he beats Scip. *tear**more tear**SOB*
The good side this: Scip will need a shoulder to cry on. I will be that shoulder.

i knoo when i saw that scene. i just wanted to run up to the sreen to hug him.... yea that is hwta happens when you see the movie WAY too many times and get obssesed. and i wanna be third in the shoulder line!

shareOmg i know what you mean about the hugging thing i wished i could just hug him and tell him that not everyone hates him cuz that's wat its like in the movie. Im sixth shoulder! ya the movie was a bit more abusive than the book
shareI thought the movie acualy(sp?) did it better (with more abuse). It made Scipio's situation more desperate. Also in films things need to be stronger
