Xmas
Is Christmas really as big a deal in Japan as it looks in this film?
shareWhy wouldn't it be?

You cheated on me, when I specifically asked you not to?!
Maybe because Japan isn't a predominantly Christian country...
shareAside from its name, Christmas is in no way, shape or form a Christian holiday.
Every single tradition about Christmas--from the date (3 days after the solstice) to its customs like singing, lighting candles, decorating trees, and exchanging gifts, etc--all predate Christianity by at least a millennium or two.

but its safe to say xmas as celebrated in the film is from the christian west
