Last 10 minutes

My local CBS affiliate's equipment sucks. Three times this week, I've been in the middle of something and they lost their satelite feed. That being said, I missed the last 10 minutes after Natalie discovers that the diary is in Japanese. How did this thing end?? I guess I'm hoping there was some epiphany or reason for the movie.

Same here! I actually came to this site to write the exact same post! I missed the ending and it's bugging the crap out of me! I would really appreciate a recap of the last 15 minutes after she finds the diary. Thank you!

I received a response to this question on another post http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0430650/board/thread/19848456?d=32824505#32824505

Thank you, mnlkent! I didn't really care for the movie either. I was just aggrevated that I sat through the whole crazy thing and missed the ending. Doesn't sound like we missed too much, huh? LOL!

I'm sure that any parent who has lost a child is extremely disappointed in the silliness of this movie.

Makes me sad....I love Diane Keaton...Can't believe she made this flop.

Natalie went to a Japanese resturant and the cook read a page to her. Sara said that she was being smothered by her mother and that she would have to die to finally get away form her. Natalie didn't take it too bad.

Then Natalie went home, grabbed the collection of items she took from Sara's room earlier in the show. She drove to the house and preceeded to make presentations to Sara's friends. The green tea set to Peter, Wizard of Oz book to his wife for their baby - saying something like it's the only guide to child rearing you'll ever need, the kimona to Josh (?) theatrical gay guy. Adam then said I guess there's nothing for me in that bag... and everyone quickly said thanks and goodbye to leave Adam and Natalie some privacy. Then she gave him the diary and told him she was sorry that Sara hurt him and that she never meant to and she said she didn't. Natalie said Sara was the only thing (I think that is the word she used - not person ????( she ever loved in her life and Adam said me, too. Then after a big hug, she leaves and drives down the road and remembers Sara singing the optimistic voices song (from first of show and also from Wizard of Oz). Natalie sees Sara twirling and singing and she smiles thinking of her daughter. End of show.

I really enjoyed the movie. :>) Jo
