did anyone else think that Sara was a bitch?

Things that annoyed me about Sarah- (if I was the mother and found out that my daughter was really like that after she died, my mourning would be cut short)

1. She drove recklessly and put others in danger of dying-probably daily by the way it looked/her friend talked.

2. She had an affair w/her best friend's husband.

3. She messed with people's hearts

4. She could not be honest with anyone (her friends and her mother, and honestly, herself)

5. She seemed shallow/self absorbed

6. She did not seem to have a life besides hurting others and being obcessed with Japan.

Bottom line- she was not a lovable character, therefore, besides feeling sorry for her greiving mother in the beginning, how are we supposed to be sorry she died?

Even though she did some heartless things, she was still a person, she didn't deserve to die.
I saw it today for the first time, it wasn't as sad as I thought it would be, but it was a good film. Loved Chris Pine, he was hilarious!

I thought the exact same thing, but i found it good. Usually in these types of films, the person who dies is nothing short of a Saint. It was a nice change to see that for once, the person who died was a shallow scumbag!
