I had the same question too a while back. Apparently if a black girl has a rounded apple-shaped butt it's a good thing but if you're white it's not. Well, that's what some moron wrote to me on here. All I know is, if any girl has an "apple butt" it's a good thing.
Vanessa Lengies had the "apple butt" and she looked really good in the movie.

An applebum is normally a good thing... it means a big round apple-shapped butt.
This is a term we used in the "hood" back in the day and has since become popular from the song "Bonita Applebum" by A Tribe Called Quest. Often times, white people hear rap songs and misinterpret the lyrics to mean something else so I am not exactly sure what the kid meant when he said that. It seems to have been misused in this movie because Vanessa Lengies (although she is definitely attractive) does not have an applebum.

Generally, white girls can't pull it off b/c of the gross cellulite we normally get when we get an accumulation of fat in an area on or near our legs. Not all white girls get that, but most do and it's nassssty. The darker the skin, the harder it is to see the cellulite (one of the reasons tans look great on most people). So hispanic, latino, and black girls can usually pull it off best ;-) so as long as an "apple bottom" doesn't look like it's been mixed with cottage cheese, you're a winner **wink**

An apple butt is a nice round butt that pops out. It has nothing to do with being fat or being thick. Most gymnasts have apple butts as do women's volleyball players and a lot of fit girls who do a lot of squats and exercises for their butt & legs. White girls can most definitely have apple bottoms. Nelly actually had a line of jeans called Apple Bottom which is where that T-Pain line in "Low" comes from "Shorty had them Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur, the whole club was looking at her."
