This isn't the best movie ever. It's a teen movie through and through. But at least there isn't a pointless,tacked on love interest for the main character. Most movies add on a side love story just to have a hot guy standing around. So it's nice that they were willing to let the story stand on it's own.

It's really great to see a story about a hot chick that doesn't dwell on some contrived romance. It goes along with Haley's whole independent & rebellious nature. She don't need no stinkin love interest.

When they showed that she had two guy friends at the beginning, I was like "She better not end up with one of them, but I know it's totally gonna happen..." I was pleasantly surprised when they not only didn't have a romance develop, but that they also never even hinted at the possibility. Pretty sure I've never seen another movie that's done that.

shareI love that it focused on Haley figuring out who she was and what she wanted. She discovered that she loved gymnastics and that was what she wanted. I'm glad some guy didn't help her figure it out. It's a nice change.
