Very Talented - but...

Steve Vai is obviously very a talented guitar player, and I wish I could do a fraction of what his fingers can do. But he has nowhere near the "feel" of say Hendrix, Page or Clapton. He runs so many effects it doesn't even sound like a guitar most of the time (more like a synthesizer). If he played clean, I would be impressed I am sure... otherwise, he makes me puke.
