It had English title on IMDb couple of months ago, but it's been changed. Why? As I see English is the only language spoken in the film. My Life Without Me also has English title.

It's a film produced in Spain by a Spanish director. It came out in Spain last fall. I'm not sure why IMDb had the title in English in the first place.

shareI think the official title of a film (the one IMDB would use) is in the language that the production company would use. In this case, it is El Deseo, which is hispanic.
The title may be back to English once it hits U.S. advertisments, but that's the distributor's choice.

There's a quite bunch of spanish movies shot in english: The machinist, My life without me, Fragile, The Woods (with Gary Oldman), The second name, or co produced in spain with spanish directors: The Others, Darkness, Perdita Durango, The Kovac Laberynth (with Timotty Hutton). That's for the wide exhibition.

shareLook on the main page and see under additional details the country listed. The movie is from Spain just like the Machinist was. So it's title would be in Spanish regardless of the language spoken. This is just like Letters from Iwo Jima, its a USA film but spoken in Japanese.
