Just blown away by this film

Sarah Polley...what a stunning performance. Her 'revelation' scene will stand
as one of the greatest moments of film performance.

I've read all the posts and replies about the identity of the narrator and all the opinions and speculations are worthy and valid. I think it's testament to
the skill of the film that this aspect becomes so wide open to interpretation.

It was one of the best acting performances I have seen in a long time. It's no wonder this film is not recognized and doesn't have a lot of accolades. (Just goes to show...) This was extraodinary and I am completely impressed by Sarah Polley and really look up to her for doing so well at the age that she is at. (Which is close to mine. :0) And I count her as a wonderful role model and influenece.)

I echo everything you two have said about Sarah Polley. She's a powerhouse, to say the least. This movie was so incredibly moving. One of the best I've seen by far.

She's great in this and even better in "My Life Without Me," her other film with Isabel Coixet.

I watched this film on IFC, too lazy to get out of bed to fetch the remote. Was I ever surprised by it! I had to leave the bed to get the remote to turn it up, because Hannah is very soft-spoken. I like Sarah Polley, and after recently watching her in "John Adams," I was glad to see her in this movie.

This one was-- unexpected. The description at IFC said a "nurse develops a close bond with a patient." When Hannah told him her story, and his reaction- left me in tears.

Thank goodness for TiVo. I recorded it, and I watched it twice. I've also told all my good buddies to watch it. It's that good.

I fell into this movie by accident too. I recorded it on my DVR and after watching it once, I am now watching it on mute so I can read every word spoken. On this second viewing I'm noticing things I missed on the first go round, this will haunt me for a long time.

A very interesting film that you have to watch very carefully to fully understand. Playing a young hearing-impaired woman struggling with an eating disorder and OCD, Sarah Polley shines, as usual. I am impressed that she will take off her clothes for her art. She has a terrific rack.

It is a stunningly powerful film with strong performances, but it's also very draining – which is a good thing. 8/10 stars from me.
