Due to all the VG-moive conversions out soon (doom, tekken, d.o.a), I was thinking that Metriod would make a great film. It has action, as great main charater and a great storline. It'll be better than tomb raider at any rate.

They're working on it. Well, right now, they aren't (went in indefinitely long freeze, I heard), but there's some talks about the Metroid movie around.

I hope they won't mess it up. Everybody seems to be taking guesses on who's going to play Samus, but what *I'd* like to know is who's going to be Ridley's voice? =)
I second that notion. Ha ha, Ridley *finds him hilarious for some strange reason* If they are making a metroid movie then how much of the game history is it gonna focus on d'you think? Like, just the first games, the newer ones, etc.
Hm...maybe they'll do sometihng on Samus' childhood, if what the Metroid prime gamebook states(I've never had a chance to actually *play* the older games ): )

I think they will make a double or a trilogy of metroid cos theres so many games and possible worlds to explore an di doubt they can cover that much in one film - kind of like what theyve done with resident evil and mortal kombat films.
If i was to guess i think the first film might feature how samus aran 'became' samus aran and focus on her suits and abilites and possibly where she got them from (i.e i think chozo -MP?)

I hate to be a skeptic but you can't capture the feeling of playing Metroid on film. That is the problem with these videogame movies especially since the movie has to be rushed to fit in the story. It won't be the movie you want.
shareif you ask me, the movie will be about Samus being raised by the Chozo - and being given the Power Suit.
then it'll probably go into some story about the space pirates, and then eventually lead up to a fight with Ridley and Mother Brain.
Just to ruin the film itself, Samus will have a thick American accent, will have a partner, who probably flies her damn ship or some pathetic crap. You'll see her cry (show emotion, which she never does in the games.).
Basically, your gonna get a totally different Samus, which will be everything the game wasn't. I.e....Trash.
