someone please reassure me this has a point...

cuz for the life of me i cant quite understand why, after finding a butt-load of kinstones under bushes and grass... when i fuse them with someone.. a lot of the time its a chest with just another freaking kinstone.. or it opens a path to find a chest with another freaking kinstone... hell half the chest regardless of where you find them are kinstones.. this seems like pointless time wasting to me.. as if they came up with this whole silly idea just to make the game take longer.. is this eventually going to be fun? do any of the chests that pop up after fusing kinstones NOT contain kinstones? like am i gonna eventually get some awesome weapon or tool or something?
