If the sequel came out.........

Of course there wont be a sequel, the film was not set-up that way. This is how the sequel would play out if made, I should know, I am/was a professional bowler who bowled with and against Pete and Barnes many times and if your eyes are quick enough, you can even catch a glimpse of me in one of the shots.

The sequel will show how the Miller boys intentions have finally played out and the PBA is now on the verge of bankruptcy once again. Gimmick tournaments, new formats and lower prize funds have all had their effects. Similar to how the current national bowling organization, the USBC, has slowly changed the sport to its detriment, the PBA has changed what made the organization great.

Although Miller and the boys cannot be held entirely accountable as bowling was in a state of decline long before they took over, they can be blamed for putting in the final stake. Many fans of bowling and the PBA do not see what goes on behind the scenes, even in a movie like this, there are dozens more stories and scenes that get played out on a weekly basis. The attitude shown towards the players and how they are "replaceable" is finally having the negative effect it deserved.

If you want the whole story and details, the PBA website has message boards which discuss this very topic almost on a daily basis and yes, some of the biggest stars of the PBA are on that forum. Even now, many years later, with the exception of Wayne Webb, the main players in this movie are still the biggest names in the PBA. Weber, Williams, Barnes are still the best. There are some challengers to the throne, but not any victors...yet!!!

Hopefully there will be a sequel, one that starts out the way I have outline, but one that has the "Rocky II" type ending. Only time will tell, but like everything else, it has to be worked for and right now, the PBA management has given up, many of the players have moved on and are no longer actively bowling and many of the supporters have seen their sport decline.

After watching this doc last night, and being a fan of watching many sports...two of those being NFL / NCAA football and PBA...I was wondering if it had ever been discussed to change the season dates of the PBA?

Usually, Football and PBA are on against each other...from October-Feb...How about the PBA season from April-August? Any changes like that ever been discussed?
