Wow, not only was I completely underwhelmed, but fairly bored with this doc. gee, pro bowling - who cares anymore.

Nobody cares, but it's like driving by a car crash - you have to slow down and watch what's happening to a dying sport. The song at the end was pretty entertaining at least.

Who cares anymore? I care. I love bowling and have been watching and doing it for close to 50 years. "League" is an outstanding documentary about a sport that has much more to it than meets the casual eye.

Those who are capable of watching this gem of a film with openminded and openhearted curiosity will be rewarded and will begin to appreciate the demands of the peripatetic life on tour and the formidable skills required to succeed out there.

In the mid to late 1970s, the most popular sports television program on television on a weekly basis was the Professional Bowler's Tour on ABC. It had a large, dedicated audience. The tour grew larger and peaked in the 1980s. By the time the tour was purchased by some former Microsoft executives in 2000, it was no longer on television and had lost relevance. It's experienced a re-birth since then and gets bigger every year.

This documentary did an excellent job of telling the story of the turn-around.
