fowler

Why did the cops shoot their own fellow officer Fowler? Why didn't they just shoot him in the leg and arrest him?

reply

Have you ever fired a gun or a rifle?

When I hear "Why didn't they just shoot him in the leg" usually says the person has never fired a bullet or even touched a firearm.

And every police dept. has banned "wound shots" because you shoot to kill, not to wound because it's too easy to miss. You use deadly force for a reason.

If you miss and they shoot back with bad intent, you're *beep*

He may have been one of their own, but he was shooting at them and putting their lives at risk and who's going to ignore that?? They needed to think of the safety of the majority not some maniac who's shooting at them

reply

Exactly I'm in the military and we learn about deadly force all the time. If the bad guy is still shooting at you just go on ahead and use the last resort that is your gun.

They SHOULD have shot his GUN out his hand. He so DESERVED to go JAIL and be someone's biatch.

reply

Hahahahaha!! Yeah! You try shooting a gun out of someones hand while it's still, much less while it's moving. Sheesh!!

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

He stopped being "one of their own", to them, the moment he fired on them. There are no wounding shots, or shooting the gun from his hand. Lethal force is met with lethal force, and is continued until the threat is no longer a threat. Less than that places everyone at greater risk. He was shot in the leg, and still continued to fire. How many responding officers or innocent bystanders should be shot before you think it's OK for them to stop the threat?

Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.
